Clients repeatedly asked us to make a sawdust granulator of increased power, but Artmash specialists had to spend almost 2 years on fulfilling the request.
During this period, the initial design underwent dozens of major and minor changes, so that in the end users received productive, reliable and easy to maintain equipment.
Thanks to checks in real production conditions, we were able to eliminate all the shortcomings that appear during the long-term non-stop operation of the granulator.
First of all, the gearbox attracts attention. It is implemented in the form of a hypoid gear with a ground tooth, a large gear ratio and a large torque.

Another important difference is the four-roller mechanism (usually we use only one pair). The rollers are at different distances from the central shaft. Two of them are shifted to the outer perimeter of the matrix, therefore, they push the raw materials through only half of the holes. Thus, the load is distributed evenly and all the details of the moving units last longer.
Roller bearings are protected by machined labyrinths and rubber cuffs, so the raw materials do not clog inside. This simplifies equipment maintenance.
Artmash products are always supplied with several levels of protection. In this case, to prevent mechanical overload, our proprietary clutch with minor modifications was used. It begins to slip when the rated motor current rises by only 20%. This fully guarantees that stones or bolts that have fallen into the hopper will not damage the equipment.
In addition to mechanical, electrical protection is also provided: soft start of the engine and UBZ 301 unit in the control cabinet.

A month after the product entered the catalog, three 37 kW granulators have already been received by customers and are operating in Ukraine, as well as abroad. Performance benchmarks have been fully confirmed.
Our specialists kept in touch with the owners of this model and went several times to check the equipment in continuous operation. As a result, we have developed an optimal service plan for the product, as well as made a number of improvements.
The most notable change was the conversion of the forced lubrication system. All the necessary parts were placed in the pellet mill housing, while providing convenient maintenance. The current modification of the 37 kW pellet granulator has become noticeably more compact than the original version.
Clients often supplement the pellet lines of "Artmash" with additional equipment that is not in our catalog: wood shredders, dryers, etc.

Due to the popularity of this model, we began to make pelletizing lines in which two pelletizers of 37 kW operate simultaneously. For this purpose, we have developed a metering auger with a 3 cubic meter hopper and a more powerful cooling complex.
Starting from the summer of 2022, pellet mills with a 37 kW motor began to be equipped with three rollers instead of four, as in the original version. This decision made it possible to make the load on the rollers more even, which is safer for the entire structure and helps to reduce wear on consumables. Changes were made in such a way as to maintain the high performance of the granulator.
