Metering augers can be purchased as standard, or they can be supplemented with a cover (solid or under a cyclone), as well as a cyclone. Twin-head augers are available with one head to allow the customer to deliver the other neck when purchasing an optional pelletizer.

What is the fuel consumption of wood splitter engines?

Our products are equipped with a 7 horsepower Weim gasoline engine (previously we used a 6.5 horsepower Sadko). Fuel consumption is 250 g / h in summer and 300 g / h in winter.

Is it often necessary to change the rack and pinion in a wood splitter?

The rail takes care of 500 cubic meters of processed wood, gear 500-1000 cubic meters.

Depending on the state of the rail, restoration is possible after a breakage is detected. To clarify the possibility of restoration, send a photo to the manager's messenger. The numbers are indicated in the "Contacts" section, but we recommend that you first call or leave a request for a call back. Managers process dozens of requests every day and your photo may get lost without warning. As a rule, 2-3 broken teeth or deformities of several teeth are successfully corrected.

If your rack or pinion breaks in the first week of use, contact your personal manager. In such cases, we will replace consumables as part of the warranty service. This happens when we are unable to detect defects in the metal during its processing at the factory.

How often do I need to change/restore a cleaver on a wood splitter?

The cutting element is so durable that it usually does not need to be sharpened throughout the life of the splitter. But if they managed to damage it, you can order a replacement or restoration at the factory.

How often do you need to change the matrix and rollers?

The matrix must be changed every 100 tons of processed raw materials. If it is not clean, with abrasive particles, wear will go faster, it is easy to notice by the deterioration of the quality of the granules. Although the rollers are able to last longer, it is better to change them with the matrix. The rollers and the matrix are rubbed against each other, so the old rollers on the new matrix cannot provide the desired quality of the granules. Also, a worn matrix does not always need to be changed.

Often you can make a restoration (it is 3 times cheaper than buying a new one). Whether the matrix is ​​suitable for restoration is determined by the specialist at the factory.

What will happen if you put a log with a diameter of more than 500 mm on a wood splitter?

If the length is up to 600 mm, the splitter can handle the splitting, but it is not designed for regular loads of this level. If the chock width exceeds this indicator, the log will not split. With regular use of logs larger than the specified size, the splitter will quickly fail. As a rule, consumables are the first to suffer - the rack and pinion.

Is a vibrating table always needed for a cooler?

Vibrostol is a sifter of granules, which allows you to get rid of the fine fraction. For personal use, the crumbs can not be screened out. But if it is planned to sell the granules, they must be cleaned, which will help the vibrating table.

Sometimes customers refuse from the cooling complex (for financial or other reasons), but buy a separate vibrating table for sifting the granules. The selected crumb can be re-filled into the granulator and thus the loss of raw materials can be avoided.

Why do granules need to be chilled?

At the exit of the granulator, the granules are hot and brittle. If there are few of them, you can sprinkle the products in one layer on the floor / table / stand. When there are a lot of granules, this requires too much space. If they are poured into a bag hot, some will crumble, and excess moisture will not evaporate. You will receive the worst quality products. And the cooler helps to quickly prepare the granules for packing, transportation or long-term storage.

Why is a metered feed screw needed?

The exact loading auger facilitates the work of the operator, who no longer has to constantly pour the mixture into the granulator and at the same time control the uniformity of feed. In addition, the wear of working units (rollers, dies) is reduced, the load on the engine is reduced and productivity is increased.

What matrix to take if you need to feed chickens? rabbits? fish? shrimp? pigs? horses? Cattle? geese? weft?

Pellets with a diameter of:

• 2 mm for chickens, 2-3 for ducklings, 2-4 for goslings;
• 3 mm for adult chickens, 5-6 mm for ducks, 4-8 mm for geese.

Is it possible to make wood pellets from wood dust?

No, pure wood dust does not granulate well, as there is little adhesive binder in it. What size fraction of grain, grass, other raw materials is suitable for the manufacture of feed pellets?

The optimal fraction depends on the diameter of the holes in the matrix of your granulator. The particles should be 1-2 mm less than the width of the channel. It is possible to provide such crushing with the help of our hay cutters and crushers. Depending on the needs of the client, we provide mesh equipment with perforations of 4, 6 and 8 mm.

Is it possible to put whole grain in a granulator?

Any raw materials need to be crushed before granulation. The particle size should correspond to the installed matrix - 1-2 mm less than the diameter of the holes.

What moisture content can be granulated? What happens if the mixture is wetter? More dry?

Optimum humidity for granulation of raw materials, not more than 15%. If the humidity indicator is exceeded, the pellet will lose density, will crumble and soon will grow moldy. It is impossible to granulate too dry raw materials, its fragments will not stick together.

Why is a stationary matrix in a granulator better than a moving matrix?

There are 3 main differences between the fixed and moving matrices:

1. Raw materials. When the die is stationary, the pressing efficiency is increased. This especially affects raw materials with a very low specific gravity (grass meal, for example). If such raw materials are fed into a granulator with a spinning matrix, the flour will not fall well under the compaction, which will lead to poor-quality granulation.
2. Gap. Between the fixed matrix and the spinning rollers, the gap is set only once. The gap in the equipment with a movable matrix is ​​set by adjusting bolts, which are located on the side of the granulator. But if for the first time it’s bad to pinch the rollers, then throughout the entire working process, you will have to correct the position of the rollers several times. This is not only inconvenient, but also leads to premature wear of the working units.
3. Bolted thread. In a fixed die granulator, the thread is not erased. In the second option - due to the constant adjustment of the bolts, the thread will quickly be erased and you will lose the opportunity to fix the working unit in the desired position.

What granulator power is needed for granulating sawdust?

To make fuel pellets from sawdust, a granulator with an engine power of 7,5 kW is needed. For granulation of sawdust on a large scale, you can use the option with a 22 or 37 kW engine.
